"Christmas Morning" At Our House
Surprisingly, Tony and I were the first ones awake this morning.  Not that we got up, but we were conscious.   Ryan was the next... yelling at his door "Mommy I awake now!"  When I went up to get him he wanted to know if Santa had come.  He didn't think that he had because he didn't stick his head in his window and say "Ho-ho-ho!"   The biggest shock was the fact that Sean was the last one up!  Mr. Six AM didn't show his smiling face until 7:20!!    At that point we headed downstairs.  Check out the pics to see what followed.
Yeah!!  He came!!
Ryan was too quick to catch!
First stop was the fireplace to see if Santa ate the "red bar"... and he did.  He either wasn't thirsty or he didn't see the milk... maybe he just had a sip so he wouldn't have to pee on the way home!
Sean found the yo-yo he wanted in his stocking
Car transporters for both boys
Ryan diving into his stocking... notice the M&M's on the floor... this was all he asked Santa for. He came through with 3 packs!
Stanley wasn't forgotten.  I'm sure he'll have this gone by tomorrow!!
Ryan looked like he was ready to hit the roller derby!!
New roller skates, complete with knee and elbow pads and a brand new Husker jersey from Daddy.  Even Mommy didn't know about that!
Sean in his Husker jersey
Diving into yet another present
Mommy and Daddy gave the boys an air hockey table... step stools from Santa came in handy!

Ryan trying out Mario Kart on the new Wii.

Mommy wasn't forgotten either, Daddy got her a new ipod touch!!! Unfortunately he wasn't so lucky... we said no gifts!  However, let's consider who the Wii is really for!!!  It has been set up and in use under the cover of darkness for a week now!
Now if we can only get Ryan to nap.  As I write he is in his room (Sean is sleeping) singing... I going ama and ampa's I going ama and ampa's.  He's right, we are going, but we NEED to nap first.  Busy day... busy people.  Mommy still has to pack, I work all day tomorrow, they have a party at daycare tomorrow (Sean finished school on Friday) and God willing we fly out first thing Tuesday morning.   So much too do.
Merry Christmas to all!  We'll be seeing some of you very soon!
"Christmas Eve" At Our House
Last night we celebrated Christmas Eve at our house. Since we will be away for the holidays, we have a long standing arrangement with Santa to come the Saturday night before we leave.  Here are a few pics of the boys getting ready for the big guy's visit.
Sean is showing Stanley pictures of Santa and the Reindeer, so he doesn't scare them away.

Tossing out carrots for the reindeer.
Daddy helped Ryan leave a note
Sean wrote a note for Santa
Sean and Ryan with their note, Nutrigrain Bar and milk for Santa (we were out of cookies...oops... these were a healthier choice for him)

Sean's Kindergarten Christmas Concert
On December 3, Sean's school had their K-3 Christmas concert at the high school.  Sean was a little disappointed that Daddy wasn't going to be back from Louisville in time, but he knew  Mommy was armed with the video camera.  He was excited to have Grandma and Grandpa come to watch.  Before the show, we took Grandma and Grandpa out for dinner to celebrate Grandma's birthday.   When the show was over, Sean was so excited to find that Daddy had caught an early flight and made it to his show after all!!!
Look at the pride and excitement on his face!

We were all so proud of Sean, he sang, faced the audience, smiled and did all the actions!

Christmas with the Cousins

Since we're going to be away for the holidays, we got together on Friday night with Nick, Jeannette and the kids, to exchange gifts.   The kids had a great time playing, we ordered pizza and then opened gifts.  Grandma and Grandpa came to watch the kids tear into their treasures too.  It was a nice evening.  The kids each had one gift to open, so they really had a chance to enjoy it!
