Chilly Saturday
The boys didn't let a cold spell get in the way of their play! Sean was excited to wear his new vest. It was quite a swing from the 90 degrees the day before and upper 80's 2 days later! The did look stinkin' cute in their vests and hats:)

Climbing
Brandon's latest trick has been, pulling out a chair, asking "up? up? up?" until you get him up followed by giggles as he climbs on the kitchen table to play!

First Day of Preschool - Year 2
This past Tuesday, Ryan started his second year of preschool. This year he will be going for 2 hr 45 min a day 4 days a week. He has been so excited... and a little bored since Sean went back to school. However, the night before and the first day brought some nerves. He told me he didn't want to go and it was "stupid"... then he decided "okay I'll go, but I'm just going to sit there". Fortunately, I knew these comments were the result of a normal fear of the unknown. Preschool was almost 3 months ago... the memory is short when you are 4! Anyway, he had a great day. Tonight he is very tired and even woke crying ... so much to sort out in his mind. I know he is looking forward to a break tomorrow... but I'm sure he'll be ready to go again by Monday.

Ryan's teacher Mrs. Seier is a retired kindergarten teacher, we used to work together.
Back to School - Grade 2
Unfortunately, I only have a couple of back to school pictures this year. I forgot my camera on open house night and on the first day I was not allowed in the school "No thanks Mommy, I know where my classroom is."

Sean loves his new teacher and seems to be thriving in grade 2.
The State Fair Came to Town this Summer
We were so excited to have this big fair in town that we decided to go and visit MANY times! The boys went with us, Grandma & Grandpa and Sean even got to go with his class. Here are a few pictures of our adventures at the fair.

Looking at the alpacas
Watching a horse get new shoes

These lambs were born 2 hours earlier. You can still see the umbilical chord if you click on the picture to make it bigger... if you really want to see it:)
Twelve piglets were born to this mama the night before (wow... 12!!)
All 3 boys having fun. Well, not sure how much fun Brandon was having... when we got home I discovered that he had a fever of 104... poor little guy had an ear infection and yucky swollen tonsils:(
Supper time!
Eating like a big boy now... even when he's sick!
Grandma and Daddy helped the boys practice roping cows (wooden ones of course)
I took the boys to the midway, Tony met us after work. We found this camel on our way to the midway.
Let the fun begin... weeeeee!

So many rides, so little time! Brandon loved watching the boys, but the noise wasn't good for his infected ear... fortunately we ran into Grandma and Grandpa and they offered to take him home. I was grateful as I was able to stay even after Tony arrived.

Sean's class talking to the "Walking Tree Man"
Riding tractors
Getting a close up look at the Budweiser Clydesdales

Getting dressed for the parade
Visiting the Budweiser fire dog.
Hitching up the horses.
We rounded out our fair experience with a little demolition derby!
Sean's 7th Birthday
Mommy and Daddy gave Sean a big boy set of golf clubs:)

Now that he can tie his own shoes, Sean has some Nike shoes.
So much taller than he was at their first meeting (Sean's 1st birthday) when Briant gave him to Sean.
Grandma and Grandpa brought Sean this cool Husker birthday cookie
We celebrated with a swim at the pool with family and good friends.

Ryan celebrated by swimming without his floaty!
Star Wars birthday cake at the house after burgers and dogs

Barrie 2010 - Week 3
During our final week home, we spent more time at Wasaga Beach, with cousins at their chalet and having a blast at Canada's Wonderland!
Allan took the boys out for a ride on the sea doo.

The water was FINALLY calm enough to go out into the bay.

View of beach area 1 from the boat.
The boys helped Chris clean out the hot tub after their final "swim" in it.
At the chalet, Ryan was the first to jump off the board into the pond...
and swim to the floating dock.
Mark gave Sean a hand getting in, while Andrew, Megan and Jameson looked on.
Ryan managed to take the paddle boat for spin on his own!
Brooke led Sean across the rocks at the river.
Aidan, giving Ryan some tips to get across

Brooke, Mark, Ryan, Shannon, Jameson, Peter and Sean.

It was soooo hot on this day... the ferris wheel was the only way to feel some air moving.

The boys were so excited to FINALLY be able to ride a roller coaster without a grown up!
