Boy Defined: Nature's answer to the false belief that there is no such thing as perpetual motion.

Hola Mexico!
We had such a wonderful time in Mexico.  The weather was beautiful... cool (by Mexico standards) for the first half of the trip and warm/hot for the rest.  The boys had a great time swimming, however Mommy and Daddy didn't do as much as we had planned.  They don't heat the pools in Mexico, so the water was a little chilly.
We had no sooner arrived at the airport and Brandon had added "palm tree" to his vocabulary.  Not long after we got to the resort he added "coconut" and "hola".  He greeted everyone we met on the many walkways with a loud and clear "hola".  He even said "gracias" to the waiters at the restaurants.  Sean and Ryan became quite proficient at this as well.

Waiting in the lobby of the hotel while we check-in.

Ryan waiting for us to be seated for dinner at Havana Moon.

A magician came to our table to help entertain the kids ... big and small... while we waited for dinner.

The boys were desperate to swim the day we arrived, so they took a dip in the plunge pool on our balcony.
As you recall from the opening.. pools are NOT heated... therefore Ryan's look:)

Sean relaxing by the pool.

Swim up bar.  It was a windy day as you can see by the trees.

Checking out a HUGE iguana

Crocodiles at the resort.

Brandon is less than amused at lunch at the pool bar.

Building castles at the beach.

Papa and Ryan building sand castles.

Daddy and Sean looking for sea creatures.

Ryan jumping for joy! It was wonderful see the boys having so much fun, discovering new things.
So many times they stopped and said things like: I can't even believe I'm here or Thank you for bringing us here.  Makes a Mommy smile, in her heart too

This is how the Duncan boys do vacations.

A lemur outside our hotel room.

Brandon sees Dora

Brandon exploring the "sand" pool.  It had a sandy beach area and you could wade in like the ocean.

The boys deciding whether or not to join in.

Ryan won... or so he said...

Burying big brother in the sand... note the smile!

Showers are just as much fun as a pool!

Pete, Dad and Chris

Daddy and Sean snuck off to have ice cream, but I caught them... thank goodness for long lenses!

Sean is watching a yoga class on the beach... very carefully.

Brandon playing on the playground... not sure how it was still standing... big lean to the right!

Sean took my picture... he did a great job.

Wandering one of the many walkways at the resort.

Swimming in another pool at The Grand Mayan

When I returned from the gym on this morning, Ryan was lying on the bed after  the tragedy... he had dropped a bar stool on his bare toe.

The damage.  He walked on the edge of his foot after this... causing a blister... tragedy #2 or rode in a stroller or piggy backed on me.

At Senor Frogs in Playa del Carmen

Sean showing his shark's tooth necklace.

Ryan sharing his necklace with Papa
With an Aztec warrior

Brandon wasn't getting near Santa... and he DEFINITELY wasn't getting close to this guy.

They thought this was a highlight because he had a machine gun.

Brandon running to greet Sean after a walk.

The pool at the house we stayed at.

Pool boys.

This is someones vacation home!!

Playing in the waves.

Sean's photography again.

Ryan and I built this.... you're right!!! It IS a motorboat!

Peter, Dad and I

Making dinner, even on vacation....

The boys sharpening their pool skills.

Eating dinner outside.

Brandon was very curious.  The waves were big on this day, so he didn't last long.  They hit him in the face and knocked him down...even at the shore.
