Health Update
Since we returned to Grand Island, we have made MANY trips to the doctor. We all knew Sean wasn't himself while we were in Barrie, but we didn't realize how sick he was. His doctor believes, from the symptoms I gave him up to and including the fever that finally broke New Year's Eve, that he had influenza and we know that he has an ear infection. He has been a trooper, takes his medicine like a champ and is well on his way to feeling better. He's hoping to get out skating tomorrow.

Ryan's ear infection that won't go away, still won't go away. It started in both ears at the end of November and was resisting antibiotics up until our trip. The day before his baptism we took him to the doc and he was placed on his 3rd straight antibiotic as his left ear was still infected. Yesterday we went for a follow up with his regular doctor since he still seemed sick (understatement of the year!). After 10 days on this antibiotic BOTH ears were infected. He has now had two injections of antibiotics and we will follow up next week. If this doesn't clear it up it looks like he will need tubes.

On Thursday the boys started at a new daycare. So far things are going great. It is much smaller than where they had been which is good. Despite an incident on the first day where Sean's head connected with a table (leaving him with a huge bump and bruise) they are settling in. Neither Sean nor Ryan seem to be too concerned with where mommy or daddy are once they walk in the door. In the long run I think the accident helped Sean and Teresa bond and raised his comfort level there. He tells us he feels good and he was "tough".
