GAME CALLED DUE TO LIGHTNING
Last night, Sean headed to soccer very excited to score another goal.  Unfortunately, he didn't notice what Mommy and Daddy saw developing in the sky.  We were in a severe thunderstorm watch when we left the house and there were reports of tornadoes out west.  It was decided from the beginning that if lightning was spotted in the sky, the game would be called.  About 20 min into the game, that is exactly what happened.  He handled it very well.  As far as he was concerned, his team was winning, he got to play and the treats were still handed out... all was right with the world!  Mommy got to play with her new camera, so she was happy too!
Fortunately, both boys did a great job going to bed, despite the rumbles of thunder and flashes of lightning outside.  Ryan goofed around for about and hour in his room, but that is par for the course these days!  The storm didn't prove to be that bad and our lawn looks all the better for it!

Hi everyone! It was so nice to see Sean's soccer game pictures. The new camera works quite well. Hope Ryan slept through the night last night! Haven't been able to talk to you for a few days, Melissa, due to appointments and David's funeral yesterday. Glad the worst of the storm missed you. We meet with Curtis tomorrow night about our landscaping. Anxious to hear what he has to offer for changes or additions. Jane sent some neat pictures of "Matthew" that I shall try to send you. Talk soon. Love, Mom xoxo
